Arrival to Istanbul Airport and private transfer to your hotel.
Distance to travel: 45 km.
Highlights and visit sites of the day: Visit the Hippodrome, venue of horse chariot races, the Blue Mosque, see beautiful blue tiles, Topkapi Palace and its Harem, home of Ottoman sultans, Hagia Sophia, the best Byzantine architect, and mosaics, explore the Grand Bazaar, which hosts over 3,000 shops.
Distance to travel: 10 km.
Highlights and visit sites of the day: Visit the mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent, the best view of Golden Horn, take a morning Bosphorus cruise, Taksim square, walk on the Istiklal Street, enjoy local cuisine for lunch, see the Galata Tower, cross the Bridge, visit the Spice market and Rustem Pasha Mosque. Fly to Cappadocia in the late afternoon.

Our trip took us from Istanbul, down the west coast and then inland to Cappadocia. Turkey in the springtime was lush and green. One highlight of the trip was the unusual landscape of Cappadocia. Several of us took an early morning balloon ride to view the unique formations. It was a very private tour just three of us with our guide and driver. We ate our meals together and had many delightful conversations. We came away with sights that surprised us, and adventures that provided us with enough memories for years to come. This was one of the very best international travel vacations that we have ever taken. We would recommend this tour company to anyone who wants to spend time getting to know this beautiful country.
